High-speed data (HSD) interfaces are essential for innovative vehicle and component development, enabling the real-time processing of large data volumes. Connectivity starts with data capture—via cameras and sensors—and continues with real-time processing and transmission through computers, control units, multimedia systems, and radios.

VIP-VIRANT HSD plugs are 4-pin high-speed interfaces based on twisted quad technology. Designed for robust data transmission, they support signals from USB interfaces and IEEE1394 with:

  • Impedance of 100 Ohms, ensuring stable signal transmission.
  • Cross-talk and interference protection, achieved through specialized cable composition and shielding.

The HSD interface utilizes the LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) protocol for high-efficiency signal transmission.

Key Feature: 4-terminal HSD plug with external coding for precise functionality.

VIP-VIRANT’s HSD connector systems are equipped with mechanical color-coding options, making them ideal for various bus systems, including:

  • MOST-Bus
  • LIN and CAN-Bus
  • APIX, Ethernet, and Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL)

With a data rate of up to 1.6 Gbit/s and a cable length of up to 10 meters, these systems offer exceptional flexibility and performance for demanding applications in automotive and medical technologies.
