FMEA ("error detection and influence analysis" or "impact analysis")
FMEA aims to avoid errors from the outset, instead of discovering and correcting them later. Already in the design phase, potential fault causes are to be identified and evaluated. This avoids the risk of loss of control and errors in production or even at the customer. The knowledge gained in this way also prevents repetition of design flaws in new products and processes. FMEA is also the basis for the creation of control plans, which are used to define the control dimensions or parameters. We use the program package Plato, which allows an entire project management according to APQP.
